FINAL(Pike Street Market(seattle))

June 9, 2010 at 7:44 pm (Uncategorized)

This week is our final and I decided to do pike street market pictures. I really like how these ones turned out. The flowers and fruit are bright and I like how that looks. I did take a lot close up because I only have a macro lens for my camera so that was really my only option, if I backed up people would pass by and that image would be no good. Over all though I really like the out come. With the project I realized that i like taking macro pictures because you can kind of see different things in the world that you would have missed otherwise.

Below: I thought this one was really funny and you should see it…. it is a Michael Jackson puppet.

Northwest Trek

June 9, 2010 at 7:44 pm (Uncategorized)

This week I took pictures at northwest trek.  I don’t have very many pictures of here because a lot of them were blurry or the animals were too far away and I had my macro lens so I couldn’t zoom in at all. Basically at northwest trek you go on a tram that takes you around the park to see all the animals that are free, like buffalo, mountain goats, moose, and much, much more. Then when you get off the tram you can go around and see wolves, bobcats, tigers, and much more. a lot of the animals in the fenced in areas were ether hiding or to far away to get a good picture.:( If you are interested here is the link: http://www.nwtrek.org/

Seattle Aquarium

June 9, 2010 at 7:26 pm (Uncategorized)

This week I took some pictures at the seattle Aquarium.  I really liked it there…. there were defiantly a lot of photo opportunities. Getting a good picture was a challenge  sometimes because you aren’t only trying to get the fish to corporate but also trying not to get reflections against the window. Overall though I really like these pictures.

Seattle Glass Museum

June 9, 2010 at 7:08 pm (Uncategorized)

This week I took some pictures at the seattle glass museum. When you walked into the building there was a big sign that said “NO PHOTOGRAPHY” so I didn’t get very many pictures but I did get a few outside. Outside there were a bunch of glass cases showing these pieces of  art work. Above your head there were a bunch of odd shapes and figures like the ones you see below. Once you got inside you could go to an auditorium type thing and watch the workers make glass figures. It was a pretty cool experience. Movie poster

May 25, 2010 at 8:58 pm (Uncategorized)

This week our assignment was a movie poster for “The Student”. I think the hardest part was trying to come up with an idea. The other hard thing was getting the pictures that were in your head into a poster. With my movie poster I went for a drama. I really like the tear near her mouth it shows her emotion a little more. I thought about putting a picture of what she was crying about in there but i think I like it more without because it leaves you to imagine what it would be. It also makes people want to go see the movie so they can find out what she is crying about.

This week I took pictures of my dog. I learned he is very photogenic I keep telling him to look and smile and he would then he wouldn’t move till he heard my camera click.:) I had some where he wasn’t looking but alot of them were blurry which is fine because I like the ones that he is looking at me better.

make up

May 5, 2010 at 8:37 pm (Uncategorized)

This weekend was two of my friends birthdays so my friend and I made red velvet cupcakes. I never had had red velvet before this and I have to say it was much redder then I thought it would be. It was pretty good though but a few of my friends said that it tasted like chocolate cake but I think it tastes like red velvet(I don’t know how to explain it, it’s its own flavor). so anyway I decided to take pictures and do a photo story:

I got all of the ingredients together.

preheated the oven to 350 degrees.

put  all of the ingredients into the bowl.

mixed all of the ingredients together.

poured the batter into the cupcake pan.

put them into the oven.

they are in the oven.

set the timer for 19 minutes.

cooking.

“tooth picking” them, making sure they are ready.

they are:) now we take them out.

put them on the stove to cool.

frosted them and heres the finish project.:)

Easter

April 12, 2010 at 8:47 pm (Uncategorized)

This last weekend was Easter so I took pictures inspired by Easter. I tried to capture the happiness of Easter for little kids but I didn’t have any around to take pictures of except my little brother who doesn’t look as little to me as I want and he wasn’t very happy to do anything other than play with the legos the bunny left for him so his emotion wasn’t popping through for me.:(

March 24, 2010 at 9:02 pm (Uncategorized)

This week I went to tubbs with some friends and took pictures. So this short week before spring break:) I have been editing them and this is what I have. I did do a few portraits but the sun was to bright and I didn’t like how they turned out so none of those are on here.
